This course provides students with an in-depth exploration of the intricate relationship between music and visual media, focusing specifically on film and games. Through a combination of some theoretical studies and listening sessions, students will develop the skills necessary to better read, listen and see music writing for film or games. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the role of music in enhancing narrative, character development, mood, and atmosphere in film and games, as well as its interaction with other elements such as cinematography, editing, and historical/cultural backgrounds.
