This course is for both Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). Formerly PNUR 1120 – Professional Communication. Learners will discuss and have an opportunity to practice therapeutic communication, conflict resolution and patient teaching strategies and examine the roles and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse engaging in critical thinking and clinical decision making. A variety of learning activities will be utilized to maximize effective communication strategies for the workplace using case scenarios and role plays.

Tues, Thurs: 2pm - 8pm – Langley

Fri-Sat: 8-2pm - Langley 

In-Person - Lab kits given in class
